Hey everyone,
I recently bought a 2014 DS5 Hybrid4, and I’m experiencing some strange issues along with several fault codes.
ABS and ESP warning lights come on, and the car shifts very harshly (it feels like the revs drop too low before upshifting).
No drive modes available.
The car only runs on the diesel engine – hybrid/electric drive can’t be selected.
If I reset the fault codes with OBD, the car drives normally without any errors for about 500m before the ABS/ESP lights appear again and the same problems start.
Car VIN: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Fault codes:
U1213 – Engine management / Intersystems CAN
P0215 – Main relay
B1818 – Oil level fault
U1f40 – No communication with battery charge status control unit
U1218 – Intersystems CAN
U1213 – Intersystems CAN
U0167 – Intersystems CAN
P0215 – Main relay
P0562 – 12V supply
P1ABF - Reduction Gear
Additional info:
The 12V battery is brand new.
I noticed the 12V battery sensor (on the minus terminal) was broken, so I’ve ordered a new one. But could this sensor alone really cause all these faults?
I’m not sure where to start. Any advice on which of these faults might be causing the ABS/ESP issue – and whether the problems with the hybrid system are related – would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Ds5 hybrid 4 fault codes
I imagine that P1ABF is the relevant one - P0215 / P0562 may be causing some issues, but probably not the e-drive not working.

This video may be relevant (although I haven't actually watched it - they found some broken wires).
