Peugeot 508 SW AT fluid

Unread post by Umbrella_741 »

Hello guys. Got recently my 508 SW (8E_) 2015 1.6 BlueHDi and about to change the AT fluid. In my Launch X431 scanner the gearbox identifies as BVA_AM6_AT6_UDS. After some research I found out that for this particular box it should be an AW-1 fluid (it is also indicated on filling screw on the top of gearbox), but not sure about viscosity. Older versions of TF-80-SC for EURO 4 vehicles require T4/JWS3309 fluid, which have higher viscosity. In my case, should it be ATF III or ATF VI version of AW-1? And I found two different part numbers of atf: 9730.AF and 9734.R7. Which one is closer to my car?
Thank you in advance.
Here is my VIN for a reference: VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

As we currently have no access to the parts database the best advice I can give is to suggest you contact Opie Oils to find out which fluid you need, this is a link to their website: https://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-1497-peugeot.aspx :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

The simplest statement is:
GiveMeABreak wrote: 10 Mar 2024, 16:26 Depending on your vehicle's Euro Standard You'll need either:

JWS 3309 for Euro 4 Vehicles
JWS 3324 (Type AM6-2 / AM6-2 / AT6/ AT6-3) - equivalent to AW1 for Euro 5 or Euro 6 Vehicles.

We used to have a member who worked at Opie Oils, not been seen for a long time though. His input may have been useful.

I use this brand for years now and the guide they provide.
https://www.raxol.eu/en/oilfinder/

I think that this is the oil that you need.It has Viscosity on 100°C, 6.0 mm²/s .

Good morning. Thank you for your reply mate.
Their website and oil guide look similar to "Addinol" (and from guideline it has to be Addinol XN 6 fluid)
