Hi
If you want an alarm that uses the original remotes you are a bit stuck.
Go for a cat 2 - 1 upgrade.
You car already has a Thatcham cat 2 imobiliser fitted at the factory & a 2-1 upgrade will upgrade your cars security to cat 1.
Some alarms have there own fobs & some use the original fobs.
Avoid the Peugeot alarm systems at all costs because they are rubbish and you can get a lot better for less money.
A cat 1 will have battery back up & either ultra sonic or microwave sensors for the cabin.
A cat 1 wont go off if the cars hit.
Find a VISB car alarm shop & have a chat with them.
Dont walk into Halfords!!!!

I thought about this myself, and done some research into it.
i found that microscan do an alarm that will trigger using the existing central locking, and you can get a DIY kit for £80(ish) or if you want a Thatcham approved system, then add another £100 for someone to fit the same system.

Although it is convenient to have one fob it is not where as secure. The single fob if duplicated or scanned during use, yes even the IR ones the car open and the alarm is turned off. I prefer to use one fob to cancel the alarm and one to open and start the car. This also has the advantage of a panic/attack button and tear off alarm fob you can press if your car is hijacked and the car shuts down after 30 seconds. However if you do fit a locking link unit between the larm and the car only use the Lock and disconnect the UNlock so only your Car Fob will open the car. Regards Peter

A thatcham alarm system will have rolling code & anti scan & anti grab remotes so the same code is never repeated & the system will never accept the same remote code twice.
A code grabber or scanner is useless to car thieves on these!

Hi
If its the full upgrade system it just plugs into the Peugeot wiring already fitted to your car.
Have a friendly word down your Peugeot dealer, Take the car & alarm down with you & ask them very nicely & they might even give you the wiring diagram.
