Good evening, new to the group and Peugeot ownership. Picked my 106 up as a back up (that I needed sooner than I thought!) Now it's my daily I love it!
However I have some problems/issues I hope you can help?

Gearbox, started grinding in 2nd, I assume this is a worn synchro?.... looking for another Gearbox to swap with and I'm looking for the right gearbox code?
(Unfortunately I don't have a set of ramps to get under it at the moment)
Someone in Ebay did think this would fit 20CC57 gearbox for CITROEN AX 1.5 DIESEL 1987 95705

My second problem; I'm looking at getting the injectors replaced, would anyone have a set I'd be able to get serviced/tested before I fit them?

As I mentioned its my daily so hence the reasoning behind swapping parts, etc

Any advice/tips appreciated.

What is your VIN?
Why do you want to replace the injectors?

The vin is VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].
I'm not 100% think one might be faulty, it's missing on idle, it also smokes a bit at tick over, even when it's warm?
The thing wasn't touched for a while before I had it, do I'm working through things as and when I can.

Gets a bit confusing, there are 2 gearbox part numbers (plus an exchange box) listed for this car by the VIN.

Same engine in a Saxo should provide the same gearbox I would think..... they are the same car really

If you are going to fit another old gear box then that could also have wear in it. Why not replace the synchromesh in your existing one ?

You will have the MA gearbox. They all will bolt on and fit, but some have different ratios, different gear linkage, and some have different driveshafts?
If you want a second hand box that’s the same as yours, best talk to Dean Hunter www.peugeotparts.co.uk.
Mind you the most reliable route would be to remove the box and take it to a gearbox specialist for repair. They are a very simple box to pull apart, if it’s just a gear and synchro, won’t be very expensive.

Yes, I had seen the Satchel box, unfortunately I don't think I can justify that just yet!

As for the second hand box, rather than a rebuild, as I'm working on tight time frames, swapping the box and rebuilding at my leasure seemed the best option (just not necessarily the most cost effective)
