Engine warning light appears after turning a tight corner

Unread post by Bobster66 »

Hello, I have a 2016 C3 Picasso Edition, 1560cc diesel, which currently has 31,495 miles on the clock. An "engine warning light" has just started to appear in the info window, this happens after the car has warmed up a bit and occurs after a sharp left or right turn - the warning message disappears on straightening up but I'm guessing that whatever the condition is it will deteriorate 'til the warning light stays on, can anyone shed any light on this and suggest what the fault, and a remedy, might be? Cheers

Unfortunately without having the fault codes read for at least a hint in the right direction any advice would just be total guesswork.

Check the oil level.

The engine on my 2005 1.6HDi Xsara Picasso holds back when rounding corners, at above 30mph or so. My garage thinks that the only possible cause can be the EGR valve sticking as it opens and closes.

I would go to a different garage, this sounds a bit far fetched. You could use a diagnostic machine as you go round corners and see if the egr is doing anything.
