DPF
Hi. I have a 2010 C4 PICASSO 1.6 HDI with 155.000 km on the clock and i think that the dpf filter regenerates too often. Is it likely to be full ( no engine light on the dash or any message)? Would you suggest to clean it or replace it? Could you recommend any good aftermarket brands of dpf's? Thanks in advance!

Re: DPF
I think it regenerates at about 500 km. I do mostly short journeys 20 km to go - 20 to come from work every day and 4-5 into the town. I can understand it as the engine work more rough and the mirrors are heating up during regeneration. My mechanic told me to go on s long trip so the dpf to clean properly.

Re: DPF
Sounds about right for short journeys. A decent long run to get it properly hot might help, but I had a 307 that ran a little bit rough during regen - never caused any issues (aside from being noticeable!).

Re: DPF
Before replacement or any work, the DPF should be diagnosed. ELM 327 with the FAP Lite APK program can be used for that.

There is also a more complex Lexia 3 diagnostic, for starters this simpler and cheaper one is enough.
If there are no warnings, then everything is still fine.
