I have searched the forum about this matter but have not come across anything that helps in my particular situation so any assistance would be welcome.
I have a 2013 Citroen C3 Picasso and the radio (picture below) cannot receive any AM stations and only one FM channel (and that erratically).
My Vin is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. In order to find out if the radio was faulty I followed advice and bought a cheap internal aerial from Amazon to test. By holding this up inside the car with my hand I was able to get all FM bands clearly, so obviously the radio is not the issue.
Does anyone know how to fix the aerial? Reading the forum I understand that that my car aerial might be amplified (viewtopic.php?t=69161) but after removing the courtesy light in the rear headlining I can see that the roof aerial only has one cable going to it. Does this mean that the aerial might still be amplified via the coaxial output from my radio? If so, why does the aerial I tried from Amazon get such a good signal when it is not amplified?
Im a bit baffled so any advice would be much appreciated.
