Finally got around to filling the Eolys tank. That went no problem. Reset the value to 0.96 ml, in the Engine ECU, it told me the pipe will be filled whilst driving. The Additive ECU isn't letting me configure the amount in the tank.
Now I have P1434, intermittent in the engine ECU. With a whole load of can errors that U1218
B1811 96 Fault with the Additive pump in the BSI Present.
B1003 55 in the Additive pump Configuration fault Permanent.
It won't let me complete Configuration.
I'm using Diagbox 9.68

The car is also in limp mode. With engine repair warning.

Re: Fuel Additive pump.
You don't add the amount you have filled....
You reset the counter to 0 (zero).
You reset the counter to 0 (zero).

Re: Fuel Additive pump.
Yeah, I think I went into the wrong menu and told it to configure a new pipe, pump, or tank. It keeps coming up configuration failure.
This is the section I'm talking about. I haven't found anything that is an additive counter other than amounts for the tank capacity.

Re: Fuel Additive pump.
Don't know if it helps, but in my case (508 Bluehdi) i used 9.186 Diagbox Vmware because i had problems using 9.68 ver. especially when resetting gearbox wear counter. In 9.186 things seems much better when i did a reset in additive tank under ECU menu- emissions control units i think, where i just reset the quantity after fill it with 1 lt. additive fluid. Also i prime the circuit of additive pump aftewards which took about 5 min. All these choices were under ECU menu and "work in emission system" or "work on fuel system" if i remember well.

Re: Fuel Additive pump.
Usually you have to go in via pack repair - replacement parts - refilling of the additive. You may have to do it in both the additive ECU and the engine ECU before clearing the fault code. I've done a few and they all seem to be different - however I have never seen one that you have to reset to zero. Usually just yes I've filled it, or amount of additive added (or on early cars, bag replaced).

Re: Fuel Additive pump.
It all went good until I hit confirm when entering the amount in the additive ECU. It came up configuration failed. It is possible the pump has just gave up, like I'm beting told, but I don't think it is done. I think it's just failed to configure properly. I'm currently trying to get Diagbox 7.57 working on the laptop for one last ditched attempt to configure the pump. If unsuccessful, it'll be a new pump.

Re: Fuel Additive pump.
All I can advise you of is what it officially says for this vehicle with this engine and system:
However, if replacing the tank, you must also prime the system first using the diagnostic tool (for reference if you end up replacing it).

Re: Fuel Additive pump.
Hi Marc. Is there any possibility you could post the rest of the steps required? I'm working blind and have obviously went down the wrong path. I will be deleting all Diagbox software from my Laptop once this is done. I'm not mucking around with pirated diagnostics any more. I'll save up and get a genuine tool of some description.GiveMeABreak wrote: ↑22 Nov 2024, 16:45 All I can advise you of is what it officially says for this vehicle with this engine and system:

Lesson learned.

Re: Fuel Additive pump.
There isn't anything else to add - it's done via Diagbox, there's no step by step - that's what the technician training is for and of course what Diagbox tells you to do when selecting the option.
If all else fails, just get the dealer to do it, as it's not the first time this sort of thing can fail to reset using cloned kit or after-market diagnostics.
