Hello all, I wanted to know if anyone can confirm the type of flare that the metal pipe ends have at the front.
I think the pipe size is 3/16" and the union nut is M10 thread. Just wonder if it is the DIN type of double flare.
Thanks, Graeme

I can't advise you on this Graeme, sorry as this sort of data isn't generally available, so hopefully somebody else will know...

Re: Quick question about C5X7 front brake pipes
Thanks Marc, it's likely fairly standard but I'm used to old school hydraulic Citroens with the LHM type unions and pipe sizes. I am finding the suppliers of replacement copper pipes do not have X7 items. Probably because no one asks for them. So I'm hoping to make my own. I just would like to know what the pipe ends are like short of removing one of the original ones from the car. I'm certain the outer end is a DIN double flare type but hope someone actually knows. The inner end of the pipe however, might differ as it fits to the ABS block.

Re: Quick question about C5X7 front brake pipes
It is a Standard brake system..............vrs "normal" Citroen
European standard is the DIN Flair......
It is a ATE system....so again, I would hazard a punt of a few ££'s on DIN at both ends (Xantia is DIN between the ABS block and the flexi).

4.75mm pipe, with M10x1 coupling union, DIN flare.
Pipes from master cylinder to the ABS block seem to be wider / or have bigger protective layer with M12x1 coupling. From ABS block to the flexible pipe its 4.75mm (3/16") standard size.

Thanks, could you confirm that the flare and nut are the same at the abs block end? Just to corroborate what Alasdair is saying.
Might take the chance that it is as we think anyway

Re: Quick question about C5X7 front brake pipes
I am not sure about nut size at ABS block, but I am pretty sure flare is DIN.
