Programming of injectors
Hi,
I got a Citroen C4 1.6 HDI 2012. I have changed all 4 injectors with new one they are Siemens. On one of them it shows injector not programmed, I'm following the instructions from Lexia but nothing change. Any suggestions?
Thank you

Re: Programming of injectors
Have you entered the classification code correctly? These should be 6 characters for Continental-Siemens.

Re: Programming of injectors
Not sure about 1 & 4, should only be a 6 character ref like the others:

Re: Programming of injectors
Im thinking about that one as well when I'm entering the codes automatically it's coming as 2 codes. The second one its from the injectors no idea about the first one from where its coming, but on Lexia its says that the codes can be 2 separate by - how it shows on the 1 and 4

Re: Programming of injectors
Are these the same injectors or refurbished ones? If refurbished, they should have a new code supplied... which will be different to the one originally imprinted on the injector.
Also have you got the location right?
Gearbox End is 1, with Cam belt end being 4?

They are brand new, come with boxes and I put all 4 codes starting with the first one from the gear box.

Re: Programming of injectors
I will try again the programming procedures. It says do drive with 2600 rpm and release the acselator till 1600 rpm and someone said can take up to 30 min driving time

Re: Programming of injectors
Now its shows Rapid programming done, Complete Programming in progress. Maybe need more driving to complete fully the programming.

Re: Programming of injectors
That's all good now, just drive it as normal and it'll get there eventually.
You could try and nudge it along with the run-down procedure, but it's not absolutely necessary and harder to do than you might think - engine hot, 3rd or higher, lot of smooth road. As long as the rapid programming is done, it's close enough to use.
The double-code thing, I've seen that before, iirc it's the second code that is actually used. Diagbox says something about it I'm sure, I'll have a nose next time I'm in that. Seems to be more of a software glitch than any issue.

Thank you for the replay. That mean I'm close to the success. You prefer to keep driving until its complete?

Re: Programming of injectors
I put a couple of new ones in a few months back, and they've done a total of 5 programming cycles in that time, versus several hundred times for the original-from-new ones still in the engine. It's something the car will do by itself.
I found that while initially poor, things settle down very rapidly, viewtopic.php?t=80488
If the thing is rattling like a cheap castanet, try the run-down procedure. If it's driving fine as-is, get on with life. it never actually stops adjusting them.

Then just get on with life.
The DPF clog warning clears by itself after a few starts, if it recurs regularly that may need looking into.
