C5 X 2023 front brake disc issues

Unread post by kalin »

Hi,

I own a brand new Citroen C5 X 2023 Puretech 180hp since Feb 2023.

After the first 5000km I sensed bad vibrations when braking, especially when speed above 100kmh. On lower speeds it can't be felt that strong.
I took the car back to the vendor. At first they didn't detect anything unusual then they just replaced my front discs and pads.
A few thousand kms later, same issue. Again replacement.
The 3rd replacement came at around 20k km again. Only after 9 months of driving. The last change I was forced to pay 450EUR for the replacement.

Wondering if anyone had the same experience?
I had a C5 Aircross 2022 before that - no issues. I also have a DS4 2013, never replaced the brakes since I bought the car, 102k km now.

Thanks.

I've had a quick look and the only issues recoded at present with this vehicle regarding the front brakes are:

'Knocking or rubbing noise coming from the front shocks'
'Squeaking clicking or grinding noise coming from the upper section of the front suspension'
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately, I am very unhappy and uncertain about the brakes now. They look like they were not properly calculated for the car's weight and power. I am not racing; I am mostly driving in the city. Once in a while, I go on longer trips, and the problem starts to show.
Will try another visit at the vendor here.

This might be worth a read viewtopic.php?t=80607
Also problems thought to be the front brakes can be the rear ones, have these been checked ?
