Hi! I have a ds3 cabrio THP 156hp from 2013.
Some weeks ago a message appeared on the screen saying ”top up engine oil level” so I checked the level with the useless oil dipstick and it seemed that it was a bit low.
So I filled it up with about a litre but the message showed up again and again. I filled up even more but the message won’t stop showing up.
Why does is it not disappear? I don’t want to overfill it so I’m not putting anymore oil in for now.

Firstly, if you are having trouble reading the oil level on the dipstick, try placing the end of the dipstick on a paper towel, the oil is easier to see on the paper.
Don't start the engine if the level is more than a few mm high.
I believe that the low oil warning is sticky and you need to start the engine a few times (5?) before it goes away.

I always use a paper towel when checking the oil level, but the dipstick on my ds3 is kind of hard to read from. Anyway, I’m pretty sure the level is where it suppose to be now.
The dipstick looks like this one: About the sticky warning, I have used the car almost everyday since the last oil level fill up so the engine has been started up a few times.
