I have recently bought a 2011 Citroen C3 Connexion (1.4 Petrol) for my son to learn to drive in and with the help of some posts on this (and similar) forums I’ve been able to resolve a number of issues including updating firmware for the Audio unit, replacing the exterior temperature sensor, and replacing the GPS antenna. Many thanks for that.
However there’s one (hopefully simple) issue that I can’t resolve and despite extensive searching I have found no mention of it……
The issue is that the RNEG/MyWay Colour screen doesn’t display the time on ANY screen (Radio, Phone, Trip Computer, or Sat Nav).
The time is only visible when I go into the settings to adjust it.
I have tried a full reset, retuning to other stations (BBC ?/ RDS ?), plotting a route in the Sat Nav, etc, and nothing displays the time.
I’ve also ticked and unticked the sync time with GPS setting.
As it’s a petrol manual model I don’t think there’s space for the time to be displayed in the Fuel Gauge section of the Instrument Panel.
The Date and altitude, TMC, etc are displayed ok at the bottom of the screen.
Am I missing something really obvious ?
Many thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Citroen C3 Clock
Can you put a screen shot up - the time is supposed to be at the top right of the display.

Re: Citroen C3 Clock
Many thanks for the very quick reply Marc.
Yeah, I've seen other screenshots and the pictures in the manual which showed the clock location.
That's what made it's absence all the more obvious.
Please see two photos. I just turned the radio on for these and didn't start the car or anything, so it wouldn't have had time to get a satellite fix.
My phone isn't paired with this device either.

Re: Citroen C3 Clock
It may be the theme you have but that top horizontal banner that is missing the time looks 'lined'. Can you try changing the theme and see if those lines remain. I'm wondering if it's a graphics chip error and would like to rule that out.

Thanks Marc.
That's a very good idea about the theme.
I never thought to change the theme/colour scheme.
I'll give that a try tomorrow and report back.

Hi Marc.
Unfortunately changing the colour of the display didn't show the clock.
The lines aren't displayed at the top of the screen in the top three colours, but they are in the last two.
I'd have thought that if it was a graphics issue then the Tuner Band (FM), station name, and paired phone wouldn't be displayed then ?
It's definitely odd, and a nuisance not to have time displayed in the car.
We might need to resort to buying a small stick-on digital clock.

Re: Citroen C3 Clock
Yes, I wanted to see if it was an obvious graphics chip issue or a screen issue. But in this case I can't see that it is either. The only thing that I can suggest that cause anomalies like this are a software glitch, incorrect configuration of the telematic unit ECU (via a diagnostic tool), hardware or a wiring / connection issue (may be worth checking at the back of the head unit to ensure all the connections are properly attached) - but don't do this with the vehicle battery connected and if disconnecting the rear connections, always follow the BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure, then remove the quadlock first before the other connections and reconnect in reverse order (quadlock last).

Thanks again for those suggestions Marc.
It might be a week or two until I have any free time to try them, but no harm in trying I suppose.

Re: Citroen C3 Clock
Finally got a chance to try this out.
Followed the procedure for the BSI Reset, and disconnected and reconnected the Radio unit connections (in the right order).
Unfortunately it made no difference, and after entering the date and time via the menu there was still no time displayed in the top right corner.
Tried changing the colour schemes/themes again too, but still nothing.
I’ve purchased a cheap 12v clock from eBay as we really miss not having the time visible.
Thanks again for all your suggestions Marc, and apologies for the LONG delay in getting back to you.

Re: Citroen C3 Clock
No problem, sorry that didn't help, but this is a new one on me!
Just another suggestion, you may want to change the time settings to see if it updated by the GPS or not - toggle those settings to see if it makes any difference.

Yeah, it's a strange one indeed.
I'll try changing that GPS setting again as I haven't done that since the Reset. Worth a try.
Thanks again.
