307SW Rear Lucas TRW Brake Caliper Carrier

Unread post by Davre1 »

For my 2008 307SW 1.6 Hdi (110) I have a pair of new rear brake caliper carriers Part No's BDA431 & BDA432. I was expecting them to be obviously handed, but having taken them out of their packaging they look now identical to me! Without the part numbers BDA431 and BDA432 stamped on them I can't tell which is for nearside and offside. How do you identify which fits where? One bears the number 1259 and the other 1299. Any help greatly appreciated.

Your have to compare them with whats on your car, eye them yourself then your have then answer. As regard the numbers one might be the i.d stamp for ns, and the other for os

Sometimes French car parts have G and D on them to identify left and right (gauche and droit). These appear to have G so they might be for the left side but if both sides are identical then it will not matter.

And of course as those aren't PSA part numbers, I can't help you there with aftermarket / supplier part numbers unless they are the international part numbers.

Thank one and all for your help. I didn't really resolve this but in the end in became apparent that TRW BDA431 & BDA432 were not the correct parts for my 2008 307SW Hdi. I cleaned and refitted my original caliper carriers. I have come to the conclusion that my 307SW has the rear brakes from an early 308SW - anybody else seen this?

If you need official part numbers in future, remember we offer this service to donating members, - standard info quoted below. You can at least search on the official numbers for an aftermarket alternative should you wish.
If you need an original, genuine part number or part diagram, and can't already find the info you need on the Forum, we do ask for a membership upgrade for official parts data as we are in turn charged for this. It will cover you for future part number requests for up to 2 years, so excellent value.
