Re: Gearbox Code
You should focus on the correct part number and then ensure that the marking is the same. If you were purchasing a new gearbox it wouldn't be an issue as the official part number would guarantee the correct gearbox. But on the after market, sellers can rope together gearbox part numbers and this is where the issues start.

Re: Gearbox Code
I'm not sure how to find the part number as it unreadable on the gearbox due to corrosion

Re: Gearbox Code
We can provide the Citroen part code for you, but as it's chargeable to us, we ask for a membership upgrade for this service. Details below:
If you need an original, genuine part number or part diagram, and can't already find the info you need on the Forum, we do ask for a membership upgrade for official parts data as we are in turn charged for this. It will cover you for future part number requests for up to 2 years, so excellent value.
If interested, links are below, then pop your VIN up.

Re: Gearbox Code
Thanks for your Forum donation, here is the gearbox info:
(1) Gearbox
Original New Gearbox, CP 17X71, (Marking DP76, DP63, DP33, ET07, DP96 (ETKG)), part: 1608935280, £6920.08
Standard Exchange Gearbox CP 17X71, (Marking DP33, DP6C, DP3C (DPF3)), part: 1607745980, £2586.54
All prices inc. VAT and direct from Citroen.
The gearbox has gone through some part changes, so these are the correct part numbers.
I can find no reference to '20DP33' as of today listed on official parts, so may have changed with the replacements.
At least with these part numbers and the correct markings, you should be able to source an alternative by googling. Just enter the part number in your search engine without anything else:
