Stickyfinger's XM bodywork fixes.

Unread post by Stickyfinger »

Work starts to replace\: Front bumper, two rh doors, rear rh wing, rear bumper....all thanks to Bamby and his four friends!

The only positive part of this will be that I do not have to fight with rusted parts or bolts.

Is there a reason your name is misspelt in the title?

No going back now, first cuts to allow access, some (pre final cut) correction to the door slam outer pressing from the inside and to check just how rust free the car is. IF it was not as spectacularly free of rust then I would have broken the car.....but this XM is quite a survivor and is in a magnificent (God knows how) condition in all the well known areas of corrosion.

I hope my skills are up to the job !

No question there Alasdair!, the intriguing question is: Will the job warrant your skills? :-D
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
