Members in the press!!
I couldn't find a suitable thread to post this in so I thought I'd start one!!
This thread is for FCFers to post up where they have got into the press, local or national, hard copy or online. If you made it into the press post it up for us all to share!
To get things rolling here is my minute of fame:

Re: Members in the press!!
Magic Shame those local news websites are almost unusable An interesting article once you manage to get the site to show you it rather than all the spurious guff around it...
My most recent was talking about parkrun on BBC 3 Counties Radio to Babs Michel, one of our dearly loved presenters...
I have the off-air recording of it somewhere... You can really hear my West Country accent very strongly!

Re: Members in the press!!
I've been 'face in group' on various foreign local TV stations - several times in Germany, once a fleeting glimpse in Ukraine, several times in France.... possibly elsewhere as well. Once uttered a one sentence response on a Sky TV documentary about 20 years ago, been filmed at various times and the footage may or may not have been used as I never bothered to find out. I was once part of a group of bods that made it into the centre spread of the Daily Mail We were laughably described as 'intelligence experts' which only cemented my view that you really can't believe anything in that paper....... or any others for that matter

Re: Members in the press!!
In the mid to late 70's I co-organised a, then new idea, single venue stage rally at Oulton Park and managed to blag a bloke from the BBC (Richard Duckenfield I think) to come with a cameraman to film a piece about it. I answered some questions to camera and to my huge disappointment, when the piece was shown on TV, they mangled my name by identifying me but with my co-organiser's surname!
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Re: Members in the press!!
I had a follow up minute of fame when I found this in today's local paper:
It's good to get a result published as well as the original complaint because it shows people how the press can be helpful as well as annoying!!

The best bit.....It's a relatively aging street and no one fit and healthy can do much about it as such.... great way to put yourself down publicly/nationally

I've just appeared in a widely circulated email appealing for volunteers at a number of local running events
