Hi folks. I have a Berlingo B9 and had the dreaded multiplexed additive pump fail appear last weekend, it had completed a regen 9 miles ago but when refuelled, the error came up straight away. I have Diagbox and an Actia-3 interface. Well versed in using it.
The garage say they can't "code a new pump" and refuse to fit one and let me do the reset / coding - so I'm stuck. Not got the van back yet, they have another day to try to resolve it.
My vin is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff], does my vehicle have a tank rather than the pouch system, and does the replacement need coded as a new part? I don't believe so and hoped a simple new pump would resolve this.
I may end up with it back, not fixed, and have to do the job myself. Not getting any younger, so trying not to do this job but may have to.
Thanks for any info.
Eolys system...tank or pouch?

Re: Eolys system...tank or pouch?
Ok so you have a reservoir not a soft pouch system.
As for the additive pump, yes they are correct, the unit does not actually need 'coding' but you do need to tell the engine ECU it has been replaced in Diagbox under replacement parts and then it must be initialised, which is a guided instruction within Diagbox on the procedure to follow. So you couldn't do this with it off the vehicle in any case.

Re: Eolys system...tank or pouch?
Hi Marc and thanks for the reply. I said to the garage it does not need coded, they say that their PSA master tech (somewhere else / dealership) insists that it does and that they (my garage) don't know how to code a pump.
I know it doesn't need coding, just added in replacement parts from all that I know (along with being reset and initialised. What I couldn't find out was what exact part was required, is it a solid tank and can I buy a pump alone. What a faff the part numbers are unless you have actual ServiceBox access.
Thanks in advance for your continued advice.
A part number for the tank, and pump (if available separately) would be great. Also no idea which fluid it requires. I can then buy and fit the part and add it in Diagbox myself.
I take it my vehicle has the pump control built into the engine ECU and not a separate section for additive ECU?

Re: Eolys system...tank or pouch?
For this vehicle it is a complete tank and pumps are not sold separately. As for official parts, please see standard note below, but note that I alerady have your VIN above:
If you can't already find the info you need on the Forum, we do ask for a membership upgrade for official parts data as we are in turn charged for this. It will cover you for future parts requests for up to 2 years, so excellent value.
If interested, links are below, then pop your VIN up.

Re: Eolys system...tank or pouch?
Hi Marc, have donated now. Seems the pump issue was a red herring...not sure how or why but the garage say they found my alternator plug to be out and put it back in, cleared the codes and all was well. Now.....fast forward a week, no pump issues even after refueling BUT the alternator I found, was not charging at all and eventually the battery ran down. Being an electronics engineer, out came the meter. Yep, 12.2v running, eventually dropped down to 11.5 and it would not start.
Booster pack out, got it running, and thought "they said the alternator plug was out...but it was previously working" - and found the 1V plug with the green wire and pulled it out, suddenly full charge was applied and the alternator output went back to the usual 14.4v.
My question is, it seems the plug they replaced was the charge data plug to the ECU (wire 104) as the excitation plug (wire 1087) has to be intact or there would be no charge and a warning lamp would be lit on the dash. But with that plug in (wire 104), there is no charge at all. The ServiceBox diagram shows 2V NR as the plug to the alternator 1020 - yet it is not 2 pin but 2 x 1 pin plugs (the one concerned has two terminals but only one wire, a green bung in the other terminal and is nearest to the back of the alternator) - any ideas why this is happening?
Btw my build sheet on ServiceBox online says I am "without Battery charge measurement" so I expect there was not supposed to be a connection from the alternator to the engine ECU on wire 104? Maybe they plugged in a line which is not used, and it pulled the alternator down and shut down the output, if that unused signal is grounded at the ECU.

I don't have this diagram so can't comment on the issue unfortunately.

Re: Eolys system...tank or pouch?
I jumped on SB and paid for an hour's access, pulling all diagrams from start to finish. It seems I don't have or need pin 2, and on the older alternator pin 1 was LIN network, but the later one, pin 1 was 12v Excitor supply. This makes sense. Could be the last owner realised they fitted an alternator from the previous version, which needed LIN control data. So it gets 12v DC and it stops charging. Probably self excited.
I thought the donation was so you could access the correct diagrams...or am I wrong?

Re: Eolys system...tank or pouch?
No, apart from supporting the Forum running costs and keeping the Forum ad-free, as specified in the parts thread first post, we will only supply parts data / diagrams.
As technical data and electrical diagrams require a separate subscription for each separate marque, each year, at €7500 a year it is not viable for us to offer this presently.
Individual members / staff may help with other documents that they may have, but that is entirely up to them.

Re: Eolys system...tank or pouch?
Thanks, I totally understand. It isn't cheap eh. After more digging, pin 1 is engine LIN bus, on my vehicle - so it's not good that it (the alternator) dies when connected, have to get a scope on the pin and see if the ECU is sending data, or not.
