Hi

I'm new here because I've just bought my latest French vehicle. It's 2022 Peugeot Boxer which we're going to self convert to a campervan. I've had a look on the Service Box but it appears I now have to pay to get access to the information. I hope it's acceptable to ask this here but is there any way I can get a full spec of my van without paying? My VIN is VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

As you have surmised, this access is behind a paywall now, which we also have to pay for. But if you considered upgrading your Forum membership, we would be able to provide you with part numbers and part diagrams for up to 2 years, so much better value. Of course I'd then be able to provide a specification printout of your vehicle's equipment and details as it left the factory.

Just a little free advice, if you're doing a conversion look carefully at the DVLA rules, some have got into a bit of grief when they have just gone ahead regardless.

What can you get greif for? I know the criteria have tightened up with regards to re registering it as a motor caravan & you have to jump through hoops a bit for them to do it, they now have you send in evidence so you cant just throw a mattress in the back & register it as a motor caravan.
I choose to still have my self build camper registered as an MPV (for a couple of specific reasons) & the insurance co are 100% fine with this too.

I'm just going from the experience of one of my customers Wheeler, he did a very nice conversion on a Renault Trafic van but spent an awful lot of time dealing with the DVLA on some point or other, I can't remember the details.
