Hi I've seen a 2008 C5 x7 2.7hdi that I really like the look of & was wondering what peoples thoughts on them were ?

I suggest you have a look at the member's list of component failures for the X7 to get an idea of what to look out for - link below:

This is a V6 so expect to be taxed heavily on it circa £360 a year.
They are nice cars, but beware they went out of production 2016 and these were the last ever Hydractive Citroen's from Citroen. Parts are already getting to be a problem - especially suspension and power steering pipes. The struts cannot be repaired unlike the older MK II C5s and require a complete new strut if they start leaking.
The Steering racks will leak at the pinion, so be prepared for that if it hasn't already been done (I had brand new Citroen 2 racks on mine fail). I modified the third rack as detailed on this forum along with many others to put a CV boot over the pinion to protect from water ingress.
Lovely cars and reliable apart from the racks, wiper motors and pipes.
