Hi all!
My manual Peugeot’s gearbox has died and I have called around a few wreckers to see if they have a replacement one. Sadly, I have been told several times to ‘put a bullet in it’ because it’s too old! I love my car and don’t want to give up on it. I am searching more alternative places but I don’t 100% know what gearbox code I need. I have narrowed it down to 6 different codes using the ProxyParts site but I don’t know how to narrow it further. My engine is a 10FX6N and it’s a Peugeot 307, 2007, manual running on unleaded petrol. If anyone can help, please let me know! I would so appreciate it because I don’t want it to die yet!!

Re: Gearbox Code for Peugeot 307
That doesn't appear to be an engine code.
We can help with official part numbers, which requires a membership upgrade (as we are charged for this by PSA), but with the official part number for the gearbox, there can still be some variations and to check this, you need to examine the code on the gearbox itself:
"a" location of engraving of serial and gearbox numbers.
"b" Identification label.
So you'll need to eyeball it for the specific variation.
If you need the overall PSA part number for the gearbox, links are below, then pop your VIN up.
