hi my 58 plate c3 1.4 HDI 8V box is fu**** but where is the code on the box so i can get second hand 1 i can get it fitted fore £150 and scrap yard says around £100 fore box so saveable

The only problem with official Citroen part numbers is it's unlikely to mean anything to a scrap yard.
You need an MA type gearbox.
To see any identification numbers you will probably need a wire brush & some cleaner.

ok i have a 2003 16v diesel will that box fit the 2008 8v diesel ????? i am not paying fore info joining a club that may be worthless i thought forums wher to help not demand cash fore info

The reason members are asked to pay a donation is that the Forum itself is charged for access to the information. The way the PSA Group charges for normal access is unusual, in that you pay for a certain amount of access time, and the clock DOES NOT STOP when you log out! This means that, should you pay for 1 hour access but log out after 15 minutes, YOU might think you will have 45 minutes left when you log back in at a later date but in actuality you will have no access time left.

Members are asked to pay a small donation (typically £10), but this will then cover them for up to 2 years of data searches. This is a better deal than the one people get from the PSA Group. Using the PSA information will pretty much guarantee the information (including part numbers) will be accurate. Getting information from other sources may be tricky and inaccurate.

It was not a demand, just information and your choice if you bothered to read the info in the links that would explain the reason. You probably didn't even notice in your response that this is a commercial and ad-free site run by volunteers and voluntary contributions by members. Knowledge is freely shared amongst members, but when you ask for part numbers that we obtain direct from PSA for a fee, you can't expect us to pay these costs for you.

ok sorry the info on possible location of gear box code wos is apricated i have posted on other forums fore radio codes there wos a shop i yous to goto that charged £10 + vat to trade payed it no probes it closed. i found a forum got fore free the info may be on auto dater it might not i could goto my friends garage and look it up if its there its just cold atm and i not in the best of health now so not whish to go out i am not you to paying others to fix me car and donot wont to have my car taking up space on a ramp while i look fore a box so sorry fore troubling you i will goto the dellers and ask them if its a 20 pc 99 ore whatever the code is
