Citroen C4 VTS - 6445YA Sensor ?

HI,

Anyone knows what is the 6445YA sensor for ? I know it is related to the automatic air conditioning system ?

Thats not coming up as a valid part number, do you have a picture?

Wheeler, if you have access to the Citroen docbackup application I have found that sensor (item 3) is on page 0510 06 6443 01A.

It's an old part number for the brightness sensor - no longer used (a new part number was used). It's the sensor that sits in the top centre of the dash board and works with the climate system to determine how intense / bright the sun is so it can adapt the flow of the air as needed. You may notice on a sunny day with the climate on auto, when you drive out of a bright sunny area into a shaded area, that the climate control alters the air flow direction and vice versa.

Later versions were a bit more advanced in that they determined the direction of the sunlight hitting the sensor so could make finer adjustments.

I was using the live servicebox & it doesn't show on that as pointed out its an old number. i can now see it on the doc backup version.
