2011 Peugeot 508 1.6 e-hdi "SERVICE" light

Post by thangviet »

Hello from Australia!
I am new to this forum and am excited that there is a place for us to find and resolve together issues related to French cars.
I bought a 2011 Peugeot 508 1.6 e-hdi Active model a month ago and I'm getting some errors.
From the Subject line, I get the "SERVICE" light when I start the car and the "Engine fault repair needed" error on my display.
I don't get the engine light but my ECO mode is ON and I cannot switch it off.
I have the Lexia scanner and when I used Diagbox, I get DTC B162C (fault: accessories positive relay control and status not coherent) and U1134 (LIN network).
I have done some research and it looks like I have issues with the Stop/Start system?
Some of the solution included:
1. Replacing the alternator
2. Replacing the Stop/Start ECU
3, EGR system clean

Another video mentioned the B162C error is related to the cigarette socket fuse which could be correct since my rear 12V socket isn't working but I'm having trouble removing the compartment under the driver's side to access the fuse box ><.
My mechanic has replaced the battery for me but is not familiar with these "new" errors.
Hoping someone here may have the answer.

I'm current not able to drive the car since I need to get a Road Worthy Certificate (aka MOT?)

Any help will be greatly appreciated and thank you in advanced.

A net search suggests it is quite common; U1134 will be putting the light on.

An easy resolution here viewtopic.php?t=68732
Some diagnostic tests here: https://uk.autologic.com/news/top-tip-1 (don't necessarily know if that specifically applies to your Pug)

Thanks Richard!
My car is currently with the Mechanic and he also suggested a new stop start ECU.
I bought a used Stop Start ECU module only (without the capacitor/charger) and I'm still getting the "SERVICE" light.
The link your provided showed their issue was resolved with a fuse change on the engine bay but it does not mention which one specifically :(.
All of my 5, 10, 15, 20, & 30 Amp fuses have been replaced.

Just providing an update on this, the auto-electrician mentioned I had some missing/incorrect fuses in the fuse box for the engine bay and under the steering wheel.
Not exactly sure which ones were added since I didn't have a picture of what it was previously :(.
