Hi guys im new here and as usual a newbie finds and joins the forum because he is in need of some help.
I called into Peugeot today to try and find out which gearbox i need for my Expert. The guy there told me to look for the sticker on the box itself.
I have looked and its gone haha
I need to get a replacement box and have found that it is a bvm5 gearbox but thats as far as i have got.
I keep seeing things about be3 and be4 boxes and im not getting lost.
Does anybody now how i can find out which box i need to get?
Thanks in advance for any help and advice offered.

The Id labels can be found here:
"a" location of engraving of serial and gearbox numbers.
"b" Identification label.
The reason the dealer asked you to check is because there are different variants which affect the gear ratios.
If you want the official part number, we can provide this but we do ask for a Forum donation as we are charged for this info. However it will cover you for parts enquiries for up to 2 years though. Details below and if you want to go ahead, just follow the links and put your VIN up.

Re: Peugeot Expert Gearbox
Ok, so you have an EXPERT 3 (G9) SHORT PANEL VAN H1 TYPE 10 1.6 HDi 90 (DV6UTED4) Manual gearbox 5 for future ref.
So the official PSA part number for a brand new gearbox is:
Part No: 2231P9 CP 15X76 with a marking of (DP7E) DP75. Price New: £5,678.92
Peugeot also do an exchange gearbox:
Part No: 2232K7, same CP 15X76 with marking of (DPG5) DP75 or DP7E. Price: £2,211.74
Prices direct from Peugeot as of this post and include VAT.
So you should have all the info to source one on the aftermarket with this info - either will do.
Speeds per 1000 rpm (Kph):

Re: Peugeot Expert Gearbox
Thanks so much for the information. Trying a quick search on ebay there is number popping up all over the place for these boxes.
Would i be right in thinking i need to look for a 20DP75 box?
Is it possible to just change the 5th gear with a new gear kit rather than the full box on these?

Re: Peugeot Expert Gearbox
Yes you can and it can be replaced without needing to remove the gearbox from the van.
Re: Peugeot Expert Gearbox
Thanks for that. Will see if i can find any instructions on how to do this and torques settings.
Re: Peugeot Expert Gearbox
Does anybody have the instructions for replacing the 5th gear on one of these boxes or know where i can get them from?
