2014 508 2.0 HDI 163 Auto Antifreeze Drain/Fill

Post by 508Allure »

Hello all,

Family member had the 508 at the garage this morning for an antifreeze drain/flush/fill and supplied 12L of premixed OAT antifreeze and 25L deionised water for flushing the system.

The 508 was collected earlier and on arriving home the antifreeze is below the minimum level, 25L of unused deionised water in the boot and they have only used 4 of the 12 litres of antifreeze.

The garage said the cooling system capacity is around 10L but they could only get 4L into the system and they weren't aware they had to use the deionised water. 😱 As it stands, it seems we have 4L of premixed with 6L or so of tap water, which is not good.

Anyone know the cooling capacity of the 508 163 HDI or can point me to the procedure for the drain/refill?

Not really sure what to suggest to the family member as my own trusted mechanic has sadly just retired, so I can't even recommend a good garage.

Thanks for any suggestions.
