6 speed gearcase on Peugeot 207 thp

Hello

Will any 6speed gearcase fit bolt on to my Peugeot 207 RC? Maybe from a 308?

Probably not - although some gearboxes are used across models - they can have different variations intended for the specific model and engine type it will be mated to. So gear ratios can be different and this can have a knock on effect of the ESP system for example.

You need to have the correct model and variant for your specific vehicle. So although it may be shared with another PSA vehicle, you still need to have the gearbox identification markings matched to be sure.

You can either look for the gearbox identification number on your existing box and match it up with a second hand or refurbished one, or if you want to upgrade your membership, I can provide the original part number and or marking for your original box (as we are now charged by PSA for this information). Details below if you are interested, but it will also allow you to ask for official part numbers and parts diagrams for up to 2 years.
