It's probably perfectly simple but the handbook is not helpful.
I don't want to damage the interior boot panels (X7 tourer)
Any ideas please??

I realise that you have the tourer Roger but I should imagine it is similar, as my MK1 Tourer was similar to my Mk1 hatchback, so this video may help!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Re: c5 x7 tourer stoplight bulb replacement
Hope these show the cover panel.
It is a case of gently pulling down from the top and then undoing the 2 retaining nuts, unplug the electrical connector and removing the light cluster from outside.
It can be a pain to get the cluster back in place, don't force it.
When putting the cover back in place just get the tabs in and Bob's your Uncle

Thanks everyone-- As you suggest it was easy to gently remove the basket panel and access from there.
