Windscreen washer jet C5 2013

Unread post by C5_Jack »

Hello All

I have an issue with a windscreen washer jet on my C5 and I cannot find a part number.

Would someone has a part number for them?

Kind regards

Jack

Having said that the X7 washer jests are pretty generic and can be had for example:

Think I might replace mine unless there is a miracle way to unclog them.

Trouble with these is the holes are are so fine - you can try and insert a pin into the nozzle which you can normally do to change the angle of the jet spray.

What normally happens is a bit of fine grit from your windscreen washer refill container can accumulate round the cap and get into the washer tank when refilling. it only takes one bit to bung the nozzle up.

You can of course remove these and try blowing back through the nozzle - not easy though and likely to cause a dose of the farmer giles.... :-D

I used to remove mine and reverse flush them with a strong stream of water. May be possible to do in situ with the right gear.
Mine had accumulated crap in the washer bottle due to the filler cap being missing when I bought the car.
