Pt.No. I can't find...

Post by white exec »

BX AC belt part nos..jpg
Am stuck for a part number for the upper 'diverter'/'retractor' jockey wheel in the diagram. Just cannot find it on Cit. Parts.

It's my 1992 BX 1.9D
VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
RP 5800

Car is with factory A/C, which has its own belt pattern and tensioner/jockey.
The upper jockey appears not to be the same as that fitted to other models and non-A/C cars.
It would not be adjustable, as it's not used to set belt tension.

Thanks

I think you might want to look under the alternator page (and not the A/C page), alternator - belt fastening. I am finding various tensioner rollers that look like they are close to the alternator. I have found one that might be right; 5751 38. This is for a BX with the following information; Diesel fuel and 1,905L and press pump 6+2 + non-sinking.

I found that one too, James, but it's for the 6+2 pump (which is always on the ribbed aux belt), and I have the older HP pump on the end of the camshaft, with V-belt.
I searched pages for both alternator and AC compressor, but no joy. :(

Chris have you got the files from http://on.no-ip.biz/car_catalog/bx_parts/index.html ? They appear to be a scan of the BX parts microfiche from 05/92. The files are big and the server is slow, I would suggest download and open with an image viewer rather than opening in browser.

Assuming that this is the correct diagram, there are 3 different parts, depending on build date.

It is not clear whether the bearing may actually be replaceable. See pic at https://www.mecatrouve.com/piece.auto/o ... 922729.htm

If you have lost the dust cap there is one here: https://www.milanuncios.com/otros-recam ... 820873.htm

Thanks guys - found it, I think.
James, you nearly got it . . . this other one is for except 6+2 *

It's a bit of a special, as the bearing is internally threaded, with a hex socket (under the dust-cap) for securing.
Mister Auto has several, and a choice for the lower crescent tensioner too.

Mystery over. Bingo.

* ↑ The idea of a non-sinking BX is an intriguing one...

Mike,
Thanks for the links, and to the parts fiche scans.
You weren't kidding when you said download was leisurely! Will persist, though.
