I've got two questions about my C5 X7 Exclusive Tourer that I can't find answers to. Hopefully someone here can help.
1. The car got an advisory on its Controle Technique (French MoT) for one of the front foglights aiming too high. Can one adjust the aim on these? If so where do I do that?
2. The manual blithely tells me that I can gain extra luggage space by removing the rear seat bases, simply by tipping them up and pulling. Having had a look at them I cannot for the life of me see how this is possible, as they seem firmly attached at many points. Can anyone shed some light or show me pictures of how they come out?
I have the NG4 stereo. Does anyone know what's the largest SD card or USB stick it will read? Or is there a limit to the number of folders or songs it will read?
Thanks in advance.

1. Are you sure the bulb is in correctly?
2 .Pull the front edge upwards, then tip forwards.

Re: C5 X7 front foglight adjust, rear seat removal.
I can tell you that disturbing these lower units when replacing the fog or indicator usually leads to the seal getting compromised and water / condensation follows. Had this happen on both mine shortly after changing bulbs and needed new units. They can be a sod to get out.
IIRC there may be some adjustment on the fog lamp unit that the bulb goes into - a small thread and screw arrangement - and I hope I'm remembering this correctly. As Lenny says, the seats aren't meant to come out, but the bases can be lifted up and then moved in front of the passenger seats vertically, and the rear seats can them be flattened to increase boot space.

Regarding the rear seat base, I am aware that it can be folded, but the manual also states it can be removed completely.
Is it just wrong or they changed something? This is the 2011-2012 manual, by the way, so should be correct for my car.

There are just some bolts securing it here:
Pivot the rear seat base (4) towards the front (following the arrow).
Remove:
The bolts (5)
The rear seat cushion (4)

Re: C5 X7 front foglight adjust, rear seat removal.
I've just been out to check on my X7 Tourer and it's the same as my old Mk1 was. You don't have to unscrew anything. Just push the bent wire towards the centre of the seat cushion to disengage it from the bracket bolted to the floor. The other bent wire can then be easily slid the other way to fully disengage the seat base.
Refitting is the reverse process, just make sure that if the bent wire is slightly out of position on the bracket then it might be necessary to "set" the bent wire back in its original position.
As a matter of interest the plastic cover over the bracket can then be lifted off easily which shows how simple the mechanism is
