Citroen C5 steering rack

Hello !! I have 2010 C5 X7 1.6 diesel with coil spring suspension. My steering rack was leaking fluid, and I bought second hand rack from Peugeot 407. I could not find C5 rack, and my mechanic was able to make it fit. However now my steering is very heavy, and when turning left or right there is a juddering from front wheels. It feels like tracking is very bad, but I had it done perfectly so I know it's not that. Any ideas what the problem is ?? One friend says maybe my power steering pump is not powerful enough for 407 rack ?? Any help will be most grateful. Maybe I just need to get C5 rack and start all over again ??

They are not the same racks for a start so expect issues.... they are not interchangeable and also the travel distance may be different.

Be aware some have 180 and some 184 degrees travel. Make sure you match the correct part number.

Those links do not show current information and there is a high risk they do not have the latest data - 2 obvious examples - there are no C3 or C5 Aircross models even listed!....
