Hi,
I'm off to look at a C3 Picasso this afternoon to replace the wife's ageing Meriva.
It's a 2010 Airdream+ and HPi is showing it as a 90bhp, but I'm absolutely confused by the number of possible engine codes for this car. Is anybody able to tell me which engine is fitted and whether it is 16v or 8v and whether it has Eolys or FAP/DPF fitted please?
Reg No. is PK60 APX
I'm assuming it's due a timing belt at 10 years (so potentially overdue then....). Seller claims 'Service History' but we'll have to wait and see what that means...
Many Thanks
Jonno

Re: Confusion reigns...Which engine??
Hi
It's an HDi not an HPi. The HPi was the designation for the High Pressure Petrol Injection engines.
So there are several 1.6 HDi models and these are 8V engines. These should all be fitted with a Diesel Particle Filter. If the timing belt hasn't been done, then yes allow £500 for this (Citroen fixed proce repairs are offering this fully fitted price at some dealers).
If you havce the VIN at some point I can tell you exactly which engine you have and confirm DPF or not.

Re: Confusion reigns...Which engine??
Thanks Marc,
HPi reference is to the car checking service. It lists the car as a 90bhp version.
I'll post further once i have the VIN, providing it's not a complete lemon.
Cheers
