Saw a C8 today, with what looks like an airscoop underneath the chassis, nearside close to the passenger door / wheel.
What is it for?
Citroen C8 question?

Re: Citroen C8 question?
If it's the same as the 'scoop' in the post (link below), then it directs air in from the fan and into the engine protection cover channel. It's part of the air cooling system for the 2.2 engine - probably directing air into some components that are covered by the deflecotr.

Its a fuel cooler air scoop.Harlequin wrote: 02 May 2021, 19:16 Saw a C8 today, with what looks like an airscoop underneath the chassis, nearside close to the passenger door / wheel.

Its also used for ripping the fuel cooler off if driving through heavy flood water & used as a snow plough to also rip the fuel cooler off
I have replaced more fuel coolers & pipes than i can count on the C8/Dispatch due to this air scoop every time there is a bit of snow.

Re: Citroen C8 question?
It does seem to be too low though and wouldn't last 5 minutes on our roads.

Re: Citroen C8 question?
That’s odd, I’ve covered over 165,000 miles in my C8 and never once had a problem with the scoop, although it does seem to sit a little higher than the pic in harlequin’s post.wheeler wrote: 02 May 2021, 20:19 I have replaced more fuel coolers & pipes than i can count on the C8/Dispatch due to this air scoop every time there is a bit of snow.

I live in the country and I’m not excessively cautious with my car - the scoop does have a few battle scars but never a major problem.
