Under the bonnet of a C8 there is a really large hard fabric box which holds the cabin air filter. It's other job is to take outside air from the base of the windscreen through the engine bay into the cabin (via the filter). It's fallen apart on mine so I need a new one as now we get the cabin air from the engine bay.
The problem is, I've approached two dealers and neither are able to find the part on their system. Does anyone know the proper name for the part, or ideally the part number? It's the part which makes up most of this video -

Re: C8 cabin air housing duct thingy
Gibbo - Hi, no it's not. That looks related to the engine air intake
Givemabreak - Hmm, I think i might just wait until I'm able to get to the dealer and ask them to look at the car while I'm there.

No worries, but I don't know what the problem is - it's simply the air filter bracket that the passenger pollen filter sits in. Very easy to locate on parts.

I don't get it either. Sadly it's not easy to post, and there isn't a third dealer nearby to try!

Well if you ever need the part number and diagram from the staff here, follow the links I provided and pop up your VIN number.

Re: C8 cabin air housing duct thingy
As a fellow C8 owner I think I know exactly what you mean. The bottom part, that houses the filter, is held to the top by 4 metal and plastic clips and the two 1/2 turn ‘screws’ you see in that video. The clips are not available separately from Citroen so I remember checking the price of the complete unit a few years ago- IIRC it was over £200 and I don’t know whether it’s still available.
How exactly has yours failed ? If it’s just the clips, I eventually found some BMW ones that fitted perfectly.

Re: C8 cabin air housing duct thingy
Just found my old notes when I was looking into that ‘cabin air housing duct thingy’ !
It was several years ago - probably 5+ - and back then it was, I think, part number 8251V0 (NB, last is digit zero, not letter O). Back then it was priced at £153.78.

Doesn’t it just p**s you off when you try to help people and get no response .
Btw The reason that unit is hard to find is because, on the Citroen parts system, it’s listed under the windscreen IIRC.
Cheers
