ESP/ABS warning light on

Post by KennyW »

Hello All,

New problem ESP/ABS warning light came on yesterday morning resulting poor running and stalling, managed to get home.

Put Diagbox on and the following faults recorded:

Inj/Ign P0017, P0337, P0338
ABS & ESB U1208 probably related to above the others are not relevent

P0337 & 0338 which engine sensors to these relate to.

Thoughts please

Kenny

Mr Google says all 3 of those faults refer to the crankshaft sensor. U1208 is loss of coms between ABS and engine ECUs - if the engine is getting invalid speed info, then that follows.

Yes, sorry I've been out and about the last few days. That's the correct part (1920QS) and you've seen my post about it. Cost today is £45.50 for a Genuine OEM one from Citroen inclusive.

I know, sometimes the dealer prices can be better than an aftermarket alternative - just depends on the stock and timing I guess! Hope it sorts the issue anyway.

Marc
This fault seems to be an issue during damp weather, several posts including my own with the same issue on C5 x7s
Thx

Thanks for the reply Steveo,

I'm going to replace it anyway for the cost for new and it's an easy job to remove and replace.
