Hi again all,
At present I've not got any blowers/heating in the front, I've removed fan, taken to work and ran 12v through the fan only and this works, so I've bought and replaced the matrix, but stil not working, my guessing is check wiring from fan connection back, is there a fuse for this as I can't find anything???
Front blower,

Re: Front blower,
I can be several things:
1) There is a blower control module on these (resistance pack) that can fail.
2) Over time, the bearings in the blower motor itself can get stuck (water condensation). Because the blower control module only supplies stepped power, gradually increasing - when starting up it often doesn't have enough power to unstick the bearings. That's why when you applied full power to the motor when off the vehicle it was sufficient to get it going.
So it could be either the blower motor bearings sticking which will be an ongoing problem every time they are left for a while and seize again, or it will likely be a failed blower control module that has failed completely if not the bearings.
