Dispatch wheel bearing confirmation

Unread post by moizeau »

Afternoon, could someone confirm that my front wheel bearing is part no. 3350.93 and measures 86 OD, 45 ID and is 44 deep please?
Also are Ridex bearings any good? I'm guessing not as good as SKF / Moog etc. as they are much cheaper but if any of you have used them could you give me your assessment please it would be most appreciated?
Cheers
Pete

Dunno about the size, but I recently found you can order direct from SKF now. I got one for my 3008 with the integrated ABS track for under £40. Given the amount of work required not worth fitting a cheap one. Not that I've actually got round to mine yet🙄

Pop up your VIN, Pete, and we can check that pt.no. and maybe its size too.

Hi Pete,
3350.93 is the right part no.

Mister Auto has the bearing kit from several manufacturers.
Enter 335093 in the search box.

Looks like the std PSA set up - remove the carrier, press / drive out the hub from the inside, remove the circlip, press the bearing out from the outside, remove the outer track that is stuck on the hub (angle grinder for a slit then chisel and hammer!). Refit is reverse of removal... make sure if it's got built in ABS track you get it in the right way round.

Sounds so easy when you write it like that 😃

Thanks Richard, yep it looks straight forward, very similar to the one I did on the 406. It has got an ABS track integrated so thanks for the reminder. I will being nipping to my mates with beer tokens to do the pressing bit. Just ordered on from Misterauto, 56 euros all in SKF.

I've got a threaded puller, gives you an extra work out💪💪. They work OK but difficult to get the bearing moving, big hammer sees to that!!
