Re: Parts No request
Bit of a faff getting access, I had intended to take the fuel rail fully off but the rubber breather pipe that runs over the rail is rigid and will probably break if I try to remove it ....anyway undone all the connections on the fuel rail and managed to lower it 2” which gave me enough access to remove and replace plug .... first one I’ve done so not sure if it’s in far enough? I hit it with a 16mm socket and Hammer - it doesn’t seem to want to go in any further So will let the sealant set overnight and test tomorrow

Looks to be holding under pressure - just needs another flush and some coolant in a couple of days

Re: Parts No request - Xantia HDi CORE PLUG
Glad to hear it's sorted. Back in the middle of the last century (how do I know?) those things could be 3-4mm thick - but then it was common not to bother with anti-freeze/coolant/corrosion inhibitor on a lot of cars!
