c5 x7 - Dual zone climate control. Passenger side temp cannot be changed

Hi

I've got a 2011, 1.6 THP x7 c5.

Lately, the passenger side temperature setting doesn't work. it is set to 22.5 and cannot be changed.
All other buttons on the panel are working. I can set the output (window, face, legs) on passenger side, activate the auto mode, etc.
This car doesn't have a single zone (or at least I didn't find a way to set it) so I guess this is not the issue.
Tried to disconnect/reconnect the battery for 60 sec. didn't solve the issue.

Any ideas?

From the sounds of it the rotary encoder behind the temperature knob has stopped working. I'm not sure if these can be rebuilt or if it is easier to get an entire replacement module.

Those were my thoughts as well.
Wanted to know if anybody has past experience with this issue to get more conformance before ordering the panel

Pop your VIN up, as there are different parts from different build dates for the dual zone panel as well as colours. We can then give you the correct part number.

Hi there,
I have the same problem, except it is 21 degrees.
Somewhere I read that it could be reset by holding both buttons in whilst turning on the ignition - or something like that!!
That bit does not seem to work though.

Well done on finding that out - a useful bit of information there.

Russian procedure works, happened to me on the driver's (LHD) side.

There are 3 contacts on about 5 mm so you need thin tipped soldering iron. I also used L-shaped scraper to press down on sensor and some flux. No solder necessary. Heated the pads on the board and it reflowed nicely.
