An c15 fans out there got any info or tips for lowering the rear end? I’ve been looking into and think about this for some time now and don’t really have any ideas.
Thanks!!

Sixteen paving slabs did the job on one of my customer's Minivans.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.
Re: Lowering a c15?
That is one tradeoff of hydraulic suspension, it cannot be lowered by stacking concrete in the boot, dammit
I once loaded around 500kg of tiles and stuff on a C5 break. The guys at the hardware store looked at the low-lying car abd asked if i was really going to drive it that way. You should have seen their faces when it got up and i drove off with a grin

Did you need a step ladder to look in the boot once you unloaded

Re: Lowering a c15?
All very helpful but I was hoping for some advice on the weird horizontal spring setup on the c15. I know it’s frowned upon but how about cutting a loop out of the springs? There is what looks like a load compensator valve in the break line. Would that need adjusting?

This was discussed back here...

I'm no expert on C15, but have just noticed that Parts show that there are two different springing options for C15, depending on intended load:
See note (POS1, POS2) at the top of the page about load weights.
Roll-bar and stops also come in different varieties: see the other rear suspension pages.
The different springs might not affect 'unloaded' height, just spring compression (and suspension travel) under load.
There has to be wisdom on this somewhere...

Re: Lowering a c15?
The unladen ride height of the Champ 760 (very rare in this country) is a little higher but I believe the springs are stiffer not longer.
Cutting horizontal springs won't have the same effect as with a conventional vertical spring so, I suspect, would entail a great deal of trial & error. You could try clamping, say, 2 coils together & seeing what difference it made.
The best way of course is to fit a BX rear beam, spheres, etc.
Probably the best sources of info. are the Polish Owners Club & im Axle Specialists (www.imaxle.co.uk)
Now I've read it, I realise I haven't actually added much to the earlier thread. Oh well, at least I'm consistent
