Hi again! Last week I was doing a little citrobics session when I heard a noise from the rear and the rear locked up. After inspection the white plastic arm popped off the corrector, just popped it back on. It kept falling off so I bought a replacement. However it turns out it's the nipple/ball on the adjuster itself that is worn out, is this a replaceable part or do I have to replace the entire unit?
Is this called a nipple or a ball? English is not my first language.
Looking at photos the arm does not seem replaceable, but I haven't been able to check my own since it's covered in rust inhibiting oil that's quite thick.

Re: Rear height adjuster arm nipple/ball worn out.
Hi,
I had exactly the same problem on my Xantia estate. It is possible to replace the ball headed threaded stud. The original stud is only peened into the arm, not even welded. Once replaced the white plastic arm (often referred to as 'the dog bone') will not jump off.
I bought several in anticipation of having to replace the front and rear studs on the height corrector, they are less than £1 each. Here's a link to the supplier I got mine from.

The ball head is 8mm diameter and thread is M5. It's a little bit fiddly to do on the rear but the frame of the height corrector can be removed without disturbing the hydraulic pipes. The front is more difficult.
If you get stuck sourcing these send me a pm and I'll post you a couple.

Not sure how big there are but I see some with 10mm diameter balls on Ebay when searching for a "Gas strut Ball" recently - any good?

It is also possible to temporarily fit plastic ties (or wire) in a figure of eight loosely around the arm and dog bone so preventing it from popping off but still allowing the joint/arm to rotate as required ....
