Re: C5 x7 cv joint automatic gearbox
Here you go:
Item (1) Left, New, part 3272RZ, £520.21
Exchange, part 3272SA, £448.98
Item (2) Right, New, part 3273SN, £482.27
Exchange, part 3273SP, £463.56
These are Citroen prices inc. VAT and each has an additional refundable surcharge of £66.96 on top of these prices.
So for non dealer new parts, focus on part number 3272RZ or 3273SN depending on left or right in your search.

The OP was asking for the outer CV joint, Marc. It doesn't seem available on the drawing you've posted, just the boot kit.

Have you considered a second hand item?

You probably cannot (from Citroen, at least) buy the CV joint; it looks like they only do the whole drive shaft.

Re: C5 x7 cv joint automatic gearbox
Thabk you but i only need the cv joint on right side i'm assuming is the same for outer ones either left or right
I wont find on citroen service box
I bought the new drive shaft from j&r ltd in uk, after 2 days started clicking the same as before and it vibrates at 20-30 miles and cracking when steering , worse then the old one only Good thing about it , is the boot gaiter is not ripped
So what i wanna do is change on the old oem drive shaft the outer cv joint
Any link with only the cv joints?

Re: C5 x7 cv joint automatic gearbox
They’re not available separately from Citroen Paul, hence the expense, as they are complete shafts.Paul-R wrote: 01 Aug 2019, 15:44 The OP was asking for the outer CV joint, Marc. It doesn't seem available on the drawing you've posted, just the boot kit.
I’ve done a post on it here:

Re: C5 x7 cv joint automatic gearbox
Yes, I strongly suspected that.
There is another possible solution. Years ago on my Mk1 C5 I needed to change the outer CV joint and I was able to take it off a drive shaft which was for another gearbox. It would probably mean going down the second hand route again, to keep costs in check, but is another option.

Re: C5 x7 cv joint automatic gearbox
My GS used to gobble up CV joints like they were going out of fashion and the only option was a full driveshaft. £180 in 1985!
I haven't had to do one since that became bean tins.
Daughter's 104 needed one. £35 for the full shaft

Ditto that Steve, both my 1000 cc 1976 and my 1979 GS 1220 ate CV joints for breakfast. I had them done every year as it always failed the MOT on the same flipping thing.

Re: C5 x7 cv joint automatic gearbox
So i'm assuming its something to do with the length
I measured the old oem drive shaft and is 989-990 mm something like that, i' ve seen they have some drive shaft with 957 mm length for automatic gearbox
I dont understand
Someone who can give me a link with a driveshaft that is not 400+ pounds?
Thank you

Re: C5 x7 cv joint automatic gearbox
Just search on Google ‘citroen 3273SN’ for example and you’ll find options that are cheaper.
Don’t try and search parts suppliers directly as you’ll be searching forever.
