How would I fix a stuck on heater button?
Hi, the rear heated screen button in my 405 is stuck down and I cannot turn it off. What would be the best way to fix this without snapping the button off and breaking it?

The switch was available separately as a spare part, so must be removable. It probably is released from underneath the trim and if it's like the one in the picture below...
....then you'll probably need to get access to it from the radio recess - once it is removed and getting your hand up inside to release the retaining clips.

Mine's a later style dashboard, looks a bit like this one -
Is the procedure the same?

Ok, I was going to ask for your VIN to determine correct model - might still be useful for further questions..
Here is a picture of the switch itself - now I don't know whether it is possible to use a thin flat head screwdriver to move the lugs as shown on the switch to lever it out or not.
If not, this is how to remove the central console - you may not need to do all this, but should provide enough info to get near the switch if you can't lever it out.
Remove:
Remove the fastener (5).
Unclip the clock electrical supply.
Remove the centre panel ( 6).

Thank you for that, I cannot provide you with the VIN currently as I'm away from the car but you've given me enough info here to sort my issue anyway.
