Unread post by thebrasso »

Hi there.
Can anybody please adsvise me to the speaker and power wiring colours inc tweeters for a 2007 1.6hdi desire?

I have found loads online wilt plenty of contradicting diagrams. Is there a definitave guide.
Any info would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks in advance.

Mainly the speaker polarity colours tbf..

If you could post up the VIN (which will, for security reasons, automatically be obscured so that only Moderators can read it) a Moderator could look up your vehicle and find out exactly what she had when she rolled out of the factory.

They don't always follow exact colours, but I'll look up the diagram when I have your VIN, which I will need.

Of course, but if you type it here it will be hidden automatically from public view as a safeguard, so there are no worries there. But up to you.

Ok, I have that - there's a few settings we need to tweak after the recent updates before I can upload it for you, so hopefully won't be too long.

Note that if you fit an aftermarket head unit, the dash display for the radio and time/date will stop working (and you won't be able to change the time/date). You will need to run in a separate ignition switched power supply, as the OE radio is switched by the BSI, and if you just connect it up, then it won't switch off at key off, or other odd behaviour may occur.

Thats excellent. I have had an aftermarket set up for years, but want to make sure everything speaker wise is wired correctly. (POLARITY)

Much Love

Thank you RichardW you have answered a question I have recently posted (2024) My aftermarket head unit does not switch off when key removed, it's strange you have to run a separate feed from ignition
