That bit sounds so simple but it took me several days to work up enough courage to be quite vicious pulling the bumper off. Be warned - it is not easy.

They are rarely as simple as the instructions Paul!

But I'm sure Avi will appreciate that and have a few chill pills at the ready. It's the sort of job I have little patience with - defeat by a few plastic clips. Unfortunately being a bit over-zealous often works out expensive! :-D

Hi
Thanx for the warnings but now it's past the point of no return. the funny thing is that the instructions that came with the kit - Auto-Hak - btw, states that the whole procedure of installing the tow bar estimated for two hours. I guess that they are hopelessly optimistic.

At least (on the face of it) they haven't failed to mention bolts near the wheel arch as was the case with the tourer instructions which I obtained from another source. This resulted in slight bending of the metal at that section as I tried to remove said bumper with too much exuberance.

Do you pull the bumper parallel to the ground, like sliding backwards or do you also have to tilt/pull outwards? Would be good to see how it clips so at least I have an idea which way to apply force!

Sorry to dig up old thread, but trying to remove the rear bumper, got all screw/bolts off, but can't shift the bumper at the sides.

How did you unclip the clips?
I'm afraid of breaking it.
why?
