Hi Paul right, so that could be related to the problem if it cannot read the SD card where the Mapping version would be.
For the moment I would suggest that your firmware is updated and then we can focus on the Navigation updates.
The safest way to upgrade the firmware is to actually install it directly from a proper original Citroen Firmware CD. You can order it from a Citroen dealer for the princely sum of £2.58 including VAT! So won't break the bank. The part number is: 9679240380
This needs to be done with the engine running, and can take 30 - 45 minutes - so only do it when you have ample time, as it cannot be interrupted.
For the map situation, you still will need to get hold of a compatible SD card 16Gb minimum capacity - a higher capacity is ok, so if you can only locate a 32 Gb one these days that should be fine too. You will also need a card reader or the ability to read and write to the SD card in your computer - so a USB card reader will be fine and these can be got quite cheaply. This one from Currys is £9.99 and will do, if you don't already have one:

As for the Navigation Database, Citroen no longer support the MyWay system, so the last update for the maps was 2016-2. I will send you a private message concerning this.
