I don't have your VIN for the C5 - post it here (it will be masked automatically).

I think you asked this before - there is no independent CPH or immobiliser unit on the C5 - the Engine Management Injection ECU controls the starting using the transponder code from the chips in the key / fob.

It's not the car alarm Gibbo  It's a starting problem. The Xantia had a CPH immobiliser which I think he is referring to in that thread he linked to. The C5 does not have this.

So are you saying you had a new injection ECU ordered - like item number 1 in the diagram?
C5 MK I Petrol Injection ECU.PNG
Whatever your problem it seems electrical contact related to me - either a wire, or pin on a connector is not making proper contact in the cold - and only making the contact when heated up and expanded slightly. As the same think is happening with a new unit (if it was the injection ECU you had replaced) and you are having to heat it in the same area, then I can only assume that it is not the unit at fault, but a wire or one of the pins in a connecting block.

I just noted the Texton name and remembered it was here Marc, still available if anyone can make use of it.

I've got a pile of bits and pieces sitting here that will soon have to go to the tip, some Citroen some for other makes.

Yes no1 new from France replaced by Citroën , if the car stay in a hot garage the Lexia can connect to the ECU but if the car stay cool it can not connect and Lexia says ECU is looked , immobilizer fault and esp not working.

I not heating on the ecu beacouse it not help , I heat the main cablage if it -20 it take about 30min if it 6 it take about 5min , I have check all GROUND connections. I have open the cablage to but not se something.

When turn ignition on the yellow engine symbol not ligts up , only when i make cablage hot the symbol start light , then I can start the car.

Maybe I can make a 12v wire to that lamp? So 12v comes backway to ecu.

Your issue has to be electrical - and will be somewhere in the communication between the wiring from the BSI to the engine fusebox and / or the Injection management ECU. I will have a look at the wiring diagrams to see what I have - that may be the best place to start as a diagnostic won't help if the ECU is not talking. Give me a few minutes.

Could the issue be with the immobiliser antenna by the ignition switch, or even the key itself?

It's a good point, but the hair dryer in and around the engine bay wiring would seem to indicate the fault is there I suspect
