Hi,
Can someone tell me the hub nut torque setting for the front hub in the 2.0HDi Xsara?
Thanks.

Driveshaft nut?
According to the Citroen official service manual...
32.5 m.daN
(239 ftlb)
In other words... F'in tight!

Re: Citroen Xsara hub nut torque
If it's the Hub Nut (M24 x 150), then it's 32,5 ± 2,6 daNm.
Iain just pipped me on that one!

Re: Citroen Xsara hub nut torque
Just do it up to that and then give it an extra tug, that'll be fine.

Re: Citroen Xsara hub nut torque
Effin tight. When I had a Xsara I would slip a 4ft gas pipe extension over the breaker bar and tighten up using that. Basically so you can't undo it without the gas pipe.
Never had one come off.

Re: Citroen Xsara hub nut torque
Out of interest, what is the specified torque for the X7 front hub nut? I remember using a huge 1" socket set (normally used for tractor bolts) and did it as tight as possible.

Re: Citroen Xsara hub nut torque
On our X7s, the hub nut is tightened to 34,5 ± 1,7 daN.m Elis.

That's pretty damn tight! At least it can't come loose what with the locking pin design.
