306 wiper not work correct.

Unread post by fv43576 »

I have bought my new 306 HDI estate 2001, last week I knew the rear wiper was not work I can fix it. Today look on fuse in interior found a 20amps is missing, so I insert fuse, when I turn the stalk on first switch should be move all time but it do nothing, when I switch further for the water the wiper is coming on wiper 5 times then stop but the water is not function? #-o as I have notice the front auto rain sensor is not working but it works on manual speed one and two also front water jet is work as well.

Is this relation to relay on motor or motor faults or stalk fault or sensor?

Thanks

Hard to say - possibilities:

The rear water hose may be linked or blocked.
The Light/ rain sensor may have been disabled in the BSI.

If you have the combined rain and light sensor, does it work with auto lights?

I can hear the water pump working only front and rear sound dead likely pump fault leave this one, I am try to find the problem if it is stalk or the motor relay because the motor is work so that has got to be the relay on the motor.

I would opt for the pump first - very rare for the reverse wash stalk part to go on the Comms Unit, as it is used a lot less in comparison with the front I suspect.
I would test the pump first - here's the part number and new price if you need it

Part number (5) in the DIagram is PSA Part No: 6434 60
£55.52 From Peugeot inc. VAT

I just tend to put the official price up when I'm short of time - it's good for a comparison Mike and sometimes the dealer can be cheaper on some spares - but yes, there are cheaper alternatives out there. :-D

On Friday my local Autoelectric found wire has been cut in a half where the rubber hose between the body and tailgate. This is what cause the wiper not work on the first switch.
